It’s that time again! The votes are in and for the first time ever, Pantone has chosen two Colors of the Year! A dusty blush pink, and a cool baby blue.
The choice of colors this year is “a symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.” according to Pantone. Together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate a balance between a warmer comforting rose tone and the cooler, calming blue.
Whether on a soft or hard surface, the pairing of these two colors brings calm and relaxation. Universally flattering in any finish—from matter to glassy or metallic—the combination joins easily with other mid-tones including greens, purples, rich browns, and all shades of yellow and pink.
